What's a good brand of grip tape? I saw some people with some colorful type of tape but it's kind of see thru?

I think you're talking about Rescue Tape, which I use as well. it's self-fusing silicone tape that comes in all sorts of colors. you can get it at the hardware store in the plumbing aisle and online (I got mine from amazon). it's slightly cushioned, lasts all season, is relatively simple to apply once you get the hang of it, and cheap. you can get at least five or six out of a roll.

Hmm, something else to pick up on my next trip shopping at Home Depot; good info guys! I'm still rolling old school with the tennis grip tape that works meh. ~_~

A less soft/tacky grip tape for those who really enjoy tactile feedback from their paddles (i.e. strokers/coaches) is hockey tape. Made to be grippy when wet/dry, and very cheap. 2 dollars for a roll can grip an entire team's worth of paddles. Add wax for additional traction.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I found out that my teammate was using the Burnwater Fusion Grip tape, which I hear is just like the hardware store silicone tape, but more expensive. I have some old tennis grip tape but I don't think it's waterproof. I'll try hockey tape next

I used tennis overwrap, the kind you put on top of your grip. It seems to be working well!

My team redid all our paddles using hockey tape like azhu23 suggested and it works great! Almost everyone liked it but a couple people thought it was too sticky and one person got a blister in the webbed part between his pointer finger and thumb but maybe he just death grips his paddle. You can also wrap the sides of the blades too with it to protect them from dings.

I can confirm that hockey tape gets a bit too sticky and leaves a residue on your hands after use. Looking to try silicone or maybe a pair of gloves.
