I've been wanting to get a GPS watch. Obviously it should be waterproof, track speed, distance, and heart rate. I don't care if it tracks calories burned. I like the ones that track where you ran, like on a map.
I really like the Garmin Forerunner® 910XT ($450) and the Suunto Ambit 2 ($500). Any lower price suggestions? And are there any features that you guys find really useful?

The classic red Forerunner 310 that everyone has is no longer made; you can find a used one for pretty cheap on eBay if you want. I know some people have used the MotoActiv and like it. In addition to my 310, I also use a Magellan Switch Up. The special things I like about it are the screen options, altimeter, multisport mount kit, and optional add-on battery pack. It's going from about $135 to $200 online.
